Design and Benefits

Aquatic Weed Harvester - CW24-FH

  • Cutting depth of 5 metres and 2.15 metres wide allows the CW system to remove material at a far greater depth than any other conventional harvesting system currently available on the world market, this can be extended to suit specific purposes with only minor modifications.
  • One of the most efficient aquatic plant harvesters currently available with the ability to collect up to 95% of harvested material eliminating the need for additional clean up procedures.
  • The collection systems minimizes the return of contaminating aquatic weed back into the waterway after cutting and harvesting.
  • The forward control position of the operator provides an excellent vantage position to allow ease of operation.
  • Low profile reduces the effects of cross winds and enhances manoeuvorability.
  • Average cutting speed of 6 - 7 kph depending on depth of the cut and biomass being harvested. This allows the CW to cut up to 1 ha per day 2.5 metres deep.
  • Economy figures of 60 litres per eight hour shift makes the CW24-FH very economical, increasing profit margins and reducing costs significantly
  • 8 Pontoons made from Polyproplene remaining construction is made of corrosion resistant Marine Grade Aluminium. All fasteners are made from stainless steel. Aluminium construction reduces weight significantly.
  • All hydraulic systems use bio-degradable oil ensuring any spillage reduces harm to the environment, flora and fauna.
  • Boat design allows for quick cleaning and decontamination, which allows the machine to be moved quickly from site to site eliminating the risk of spreading unwanted plant material into sensitive areas. This is particularly attractive when changing between areas in the same day.
  • Boat size allows easy navigation around obstructions eg rowing lanes, marker buoys, and hydraulic adjustment of the cutting depth allows the cutting head to follow bottom contours and cut parallel to side batters.
  • Dual Hydraulic Drives enables the CW24-FH to turn on its own axis, this provides the operator easy navigation especially in tight spaces.
  • Draft at front of boat is 100mm and 330mm at the rear, this allows the CW24-FH to operate close to banks and increases collection efficiency.
  • Only one person is required to operate the equipment.
